OVERVIEW


Small Scale Community Based Fishing Project


The project aimed to enhance the importance of fisheries-related economic activities and its industry, providing equipment (lost or looted over the war), buying boats and fishing material, training on fishing best practices, encouraging new fish production and processing, establishing community-based co-operatives.

LOCATION: Nugaal region Eil District, Puntland - Somalia

Bandar Beyla Emergency Tsunami Fisheries Support Project

The project provided immediate support in the form of replacement of boats and fishing tackle in order to enable some of the most severely fisherman affected by the Tsunami to be in a position to rebuild their livelihoods and fully exploit the fishing season.
